Aldermans Security Consultants were approached to provide a physical security risk assessment for a high-net-worth client who had recently purchased a substantial desirable family home in St Johns Wood London.

The property was undergoing a complete renovation, including a remodelling of the outside areas and gardens.

Although the house had some security measures such as an alarm and ageing CCTV system, it was felt due to the value of the property (circa £20million), along with the client’s public profile, a detailed review was required to afford comprehensive protection for the client, his family, their home, and assets within.

Understanding the clients security requirements

Our consultants worked with the client and his family to understand their priorities and requirements, as well as engaging with architects, developers, and builders.

We developed an overarching security strategy that incorporated and integrated a security system that delivered an appropriate deterrent to would be intruders, early notification of perimeter breach, effective preventative measures to repel access to inside the property and the creation of a safe haven within for the family. We also recommended the use of a remote monitoring service that provided 24/7 cover for all cameras, breaches, alerts and initiate necessary reactive measures.

Aldermans then delivered the implementation stage of the agreed security strategy, identifying capable and industry leading installers and hardware providers.

Physical Security Framework 

Our consultants also created a control framework including policies, standards and procedures for the client and his staff to use. This framework ensured the security strategy worked effectively and was correctly managed, maintained and reviewed.
